Republic Day

“NEVER LET US FORGET, NEVER LET US BE SHY; LETS MAKE THE FLAG OF THE NATION FLY VERY HIGH.”

26th January 1950 was the day when our Constitution came into effect- India became a democratic nation and truly independent.
We celebrate this day as the Republic Day and this year it is our 74th republic day.
Just like every year, this year too the celebration of this grand day had in store a plethora of activities which were organised to infuse the spirit of unity and patriotism among the young Josephites.
Celebration of this important day started with an assembly by the young students followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by Sr. Asha. The school was decorated with ribbons and flags and the day was observed with pride. A short and sweet programme was organised by the students of class VIII and IX to highlight the importance of this day. We were all reminded about our nation, our heroes and their sacrifices. The short program concluded with the vote of thanks by Swastika. Thereafter the teachers and the students gathered in the Oval Ground along with the teachers and students from the other schools of Chittaranjan. The GM of CRJ unfurled the national flag and motivated us with his speech glorifying the fact that , “Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamaraa”.
Wishing each and everyone a Happy Republic Day !!
